A superbly produced hardback album, A4 size (12" x8" approx"), 92 pages, carefully printed on 170gsm glossy paper, showing unique scenes from Britain's Railways in the 1950s. These pictures come from the camera of a young Derbyshire man, now in his late 80s, who had a superb Kodak camera and an eye for a great photograph. Not previously published in any book, these images are now on show on the printed page for the first time. This will make a great gift for any railway enthusiast and should be on your Christmas list! Photos of traction from every BR Region showing our railways just before Modernisation kicked in and diesel and electric power drove out steam.
