C14 CLASS

These diminutive locos, originally built in 1906-1907, originated as 2-2-0T locos, designed by Drummond, to operate self-contained motor trains running paired with saloon trailers. Of the original ten, seven were sold to the Government during World War I. The remaining three were rebuilt by Urie as 0-4-0T shunting locos, two for use in Southampton Docks and the third became the resident motive power at Redbridge Sleeper Depot from 1927.
