The G6 Class were designed by Adams and introduced in 1894. They were an 0-6-0T version of his O2 Class 0-4-4Ts, designed for freight and shunting work. Building coontinued with a further ten locos under the Drummond regime in 1900.A few of the Class survived until 1961.
