Stroudley E1 Class 0-6-0T No 32689 takes on water in its home base at Southampton Docks, Hants, although it still carries the 75A shedplate of its former home at Brighton. The lagged pipework is the connection to the steam generator which provided power for the radio telephone with which the engine was equipped, the aerial being just visible rising from the back of the cab c.1955
