Stroudley A1X Class 0-6-0T No 55 (ex-BR 32655) at Sheffield Park station, Sussex, with the line's first two coaches. The loco has received some cleaning, including exposing the copperwork on the chimney, and although its BR identity has been obliterated, it is yet to receive its STEPNEY name. This may have been the occasion of its arrival at the Bluebell when it propelled the carriages from Horsted Keynes having reached there from Haywards Heath and Ardingly 17/05/1960 ?
